Cancellation and Refund Policy

Because Back Mechanics provides an in-home, time-based physical service, our refund and cancellation policies differ from standard e-commerce stores. By booking an appointment, you agree to the following terms:

1. The 100% Relief Guarantee (Refunds) I stand by my mechanics. Because clinical deep-tissue work physically breaks down deep-seated adhesions and releases chronic muscle tension, it takes time for your body to process the treatment. It is also completely normal to experience some mild muscle soreness for a day or two before the true relief sets in.

  • How it works: I ask that you wait 48 to 72 hours after our session to let any initial soreness subside and to evaluate how your mobility feels. If you do not feel a noticeable improvement in your pain and function after this period, your tune-up is completely free.
  • How to request: Simply email me at dan@backmechanics.com within 7 days of your appointment, and I will immediately issue a full refund to your original payment method. No awkwardness, no hassle.

2. Cancellations & Rescheduling (The 60-Minute Rule) Your time is valuable, and I know that in the remote workforce, sudden meetings and emergencies pop up. I want to be as accommodating as possible.

  • Standard Cancellations: You may cancel or reschedule your appointment yourself up to 60 minutes before your scheduled start time for a full, automatic refund. You can do this instantly using the "Cancel" or "Reschedule" links found at the bottom of your appointment confirmation email.
  • Late Cancellations: Cancellations or rescheduling requests made less than 60 minutes before your appointment time cannot be refunded, and the full flat rate will be retained to cover travel and routing logistics.

3. No-Shows & Unsafe Environments If you do not cancel or reschedule your appointment via the email links, and I arrive at your scheduled location and you are not there (or if I cannot access the building within 15 minutes of the appointment start time), it will be considered a "No-Show" and no refund will be issued. Additionally, as outlined in our Terms of Service, if the practitioner arrives and the environment is deemed unsafe, unsanitary, or if there is any inappropriate conduct, the session will be terminated immediately without a refund.

4. Refund Processing Times If you are issued a refund (either from a timely cancellation or via the Relief Guarantee), it will be automatically routed to your original payment method. Please remember it can take 5-10 business days for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund to your account.
